Dawsons Home Specialties, Inc. is owned and operated by Tim Dawson and located in Salem Oregon. Tim has been involved in the solar thermal industry since 1980, having installed and serviced over 1000 systems during that time.
Solar thermal installations are my primary focus, yet I continue to offer my services in other areas of expertise. Please refer to the section titled “ other services”.
What Is Solar Thermal?
The definition of solar thermal is simply systems that utilize solar radiaton and converting that into usable heat energy transformed into practical applications for heating:
- Domestic and commercial hot water
- Residential and commercial swimming pools
- Residential and commercial space heating (often in combination with water heating)
- Other less common applications such as commercial drying
Dawsons Home Specialties, Inc. installs predominately solar water heating and solar swimming pool heating systems due to more practical application of these technologies in the Mid- Willamette climatic region.
